If you have been into Tarot for a few years, I believe you must have seen this peony flower card back 😆 You are right, what I am introducing now is the Botan Tarot which has been on the market for a while! Now it's finally here✨
The author Addi Miyako is a Japanese-American artist, so in order to pay tribute to her Japanese culture, Miyako added a lot of Japanese elements to the sub-brand xd For example, different plants and animals, most of the characters are wearing Japanese clothes 🇯🇵 Even the author's logo (the red one!) is very Japanese 🤪
I am really shocked by the author's drawing skills... All the characters in the cards are drawn so beautifully, and the contours of all of them are so three-dimensional😭 He even drew the lines of the apple cheeks🥹 It's so beautiful that I don't know how to describe it! ! In short, they are all very charming😂😂
In addition to humans, there are actually many animals in the sub-cards, and these animals have characteristics corresponding to different elements! In Swords, you will see more birds🐦⬛, in Wands, there will be foxes or wolves🐺, in Cups, there will be fish and dragons🐉, and in Coins, there will be more rabbits, deer and horses🦌
Each card is painted by the author himself with watercolors, and the paper must be of good quality linen texture 🙂↕️, and the watercolor painting immediately becomes an oil painting XD This is the first time I have found a pair of cards with a Japanese feel and such beautiful 🥰 Watercolor paintings are really amazing! !
Although Botan Tarot is really beautiful and worth buying (at least I think so haha), it is not very friendly to beginners 😹 So if you are new to Tarot, you should judge for yourself XD
