The creator, Addi Miyako, is a Japanese-American artist who beautifully incorporates her heritage into the deck. 🇯🇵 You will spot plenty of Japanese elements, from traditional attire on most characters to native flora and fauna.
The artwork is absolutely breathtaking. Every single character is stunningly detailed with incredible depth and striking features. 😭 The facial structures and shading are so meticulously drawn that words honestly can't do them justice. Trust me, THEY LOOK CHARMING!!
Beyond the characters, the deck features various animals that cleverly represent the four elements. You will find birds for Swords 🐦⬛, foxes and wolves for Wands 🐺, fish and dragons for Cups 🐉, and rabbits, deer, or horses for Coins 🦌.
Each card is hand-painted in watercolor and printed on textured linen cardstock. 🙂↕️ This unique texture gives the watercolor art a rich, oil-painting feel. It is rare to find a deck that blends a Japanese aesthetic with such ethereal beauty. The watercolor technique is absolutely STUNNING!
